Kelli High School Project
Kelli High School (Kelli HS) began its work in 2013. The school served Kelli and the surrounding villages because those villages lack an educational facility for students in grades 10, 11 and 12. In 2015 -2016 school year, there are 329 students at Kelli HS in both the science and literature sections (175 females, and 154 males).
This year, Kelli HS created a social specialist position to address the psychosocial needs of its students. Kelli HS adopted the Syrian Interim Government’s (SIG) regular curriculum. It registered with the Directorate of Education in the province of Idlib and it is under the supervision of the Idlib Local Council Educational Office.
“SEO is proud to have financed Kelli HS’s operations for the last 3 years. SEO is serving one of Syria’s most vulnerable populations, its youth, and is building the foundation of a free and democratic Syria. By supporting Kelli HS, we are protecting the right of Syria’s youth to learn and build a better future for themselves and their communities. It is a direct investment in the future of Syria and its people.
Water Wells Rehabilitation Project
Due to the sieges executed by Assad Regime on cities and towns in Syria, civilians are experiencing daily difficulties. Syrians in these areas lack essential needs such as food, water, sanity, health, and education.
SEO, in partnership with “Sham Alansar” organization, rehabilitated 10 wells in two towns in Eastern Gouhta, thereby providing Clean Water to thousands of families in the area. SEO funded the rehabilitation of 10 wells in two towns in Eastern Ghouta.
These wells provide water to 3400 families out of a population of approximately 16,000. Funds have been appropriated to finance the rehabilitation of other wells in Eastern Ghouta.
